Not Quite a Catch

As an avid Top Chef fan, I’m always excited when I have the opportunity to sample one of the contestant’s food in real life right here in New York City.  Hung Huynh and his speedy chicken-chopping ways won season three and he recently opened a restaurant, Catch, in the way-past-expired Meatpacking District.  What should have been a fun New Year’s Eve dinner with hopefully delicious food turned out more frustration with bungling service and gimmicky seafood.

I should have listened to my inner foodie (who is usually quite vocal) and avoided the MPD entirely.  Lesson learned.
